Usually this is measured in minutes: 30, 60, 90, 120.
Our DG container can meet FR90 or 120.
The terms FR90 and FR120 refer to the fire resistance rating of a
container, specifically indicating the duration (in minutes) that the
container can withstand exposure to fire while still maintaining its
structural integrity and preventing the spread of fire or heat to the
contents inside.
FR90 means the container can resist fire for 90 minutes.
FR120 means the container can resist fire for 120 minutes.
These ratings are crucial when dealing with dangerous goods, as they
ensure that the container can provide sufficient protection against fire for
a specified period, which is critical in preventing the escalation of
hazardous situations. The higher the number, the longer the container can
resist fire, which may be required based on the type and quantity of
dangerous goods being stored or transported.
Even through this standard DG container doesn’t have insulation
design.
But It meets secondary structural fire protection standards.
Which means it can meet 90 or even 120 minutes.
These containers are mainly exported to Australia.
Clients get certificates at the local and they are commonly used to store
class 3 Flammable items.
